CHRISTABEL MILBANKE
London writer and socialite Christabel Milbanke has transformed the opulent wood-panelled Mayor’s Parlour into an intimate venue for private dining, drinks, poetry and music.
Called simply Christabel’s, the room offers an avantgarde alternative to the London’s affluence-enamoured members-only establishments.
The immersive evenings at Christabel’s act as a welcome prelude and finale to the guided tours of the expansive 60,000 sq ft Town Hall which is now the home of some of this century’s most mind-bending art.
Like an old-fashioned waiting room in a train station… There are whispers of what lays beyond the second door, but everybody’s journey will differ as they explore the endless rooms in the Town Hall.
