10 Artists depictions of the Iron Lady

On the 17th April to co-inside with Margaret Thatcher’s funeral, Art Below open ‘Thatcheristic’ at London’s Gallery Different.  10 UK based artists including  Peter KennardBeswick& Pye,Nasser Azam,  Sarah MapleMatt Small, and Carne Griffiths have been invited to reveal their depictions in portrait form to the general public.  Selected works from the exhibition are due to feature at Westminster tube from the 22nd April including a large pixellated close-up of Margaret Thatcher’s tearful eye whilst leaving Downing Street for the last time by Saatchi New Sensations Winner Jonny Briggs.“All the artists in the show have one thing in common, we all grew up as Thatcher’s children” remarks Ben Moore, Director of Art Below.For further information and images please contact ironlady@artbelow.org.uk”Thatcheristic” at Gallery Different, 14 Percy St  London, Greater London W1T 1DRPress Preview / Private View 17th AprilOpen to the public 18th – 28th April
